Trump fined 350 million dollars in fraud case

 Former US President Donald Trump has been fined $354.9 million in a fraud case. Through this, Trump, who was ahead in the race for the Republican Party's nomination in twenty-four votes, faced another legal disaster. Reuters news.



A New York court gave this verdict on Friday local time (February 16). Trump and his associates have also been banned from doing business in New York. However, Trump's lawyer has said that he will appeal against this verdict. According to the judgment, this fine is due to the fact that the creditor has been accused of inflating the value of his assets.


Donald Trump took huge loans from banks by overstating the value of assets held by him and his two sons in New York. This case was filed against Trump and his business in 2022 for allegedly taking bank loans and insurance benefits through fraud by showing the increased value of assets. Trump's two sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, were also fined in the ruling.They have been ordered to pay a fine of 4 million dollars. In addition, their company's former COO Alan Weiselberg will also have to pay a fine of 1 million dollars.
