The death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in prison sparked protests across the country. On Friday (February 16), protestors protested in various places in Russia including Moscow, St. Petersburg. At that time, they blamed President Vladimir Putin for the death of the Russian opposition leader. Rallies calling Putin a murderer were held in various parts of Russia.


These protests were prevented by the security forces. At that time, there was a massive clash between the security forces and the protestors. Arrests were carried out on anti-Putin. Many were arrested.
