E-passport service is being launched in Malaysia. E-passport activities will be inaugurated in the last week of this month or the first week of next March, said the high commissioner of Bangladesh assigned to the country. Shamim Ahsan. Meanwhile, the High Commissioner said that the High Commission has already completed all preparations for the long-awaited e-passport service for expatriates. This initiative has been taken with an outsourced company called ESL. The High Commissioner said about the progress of the work of the High Commission, from January 1 of last year to January 31 of this year, the High Commission has issued a total of 260 thousand 42 passports among expatriates.


Among them, 1 lakh 66 thousand 807 passports and 93 thousand 215 passports were distributed directly through Malaysia Post Department. Based on the complaints of the workers who came to Malaysia on calling visa and did not find work, many of them were arranged to work by changing the company through the Malaysian company Zetic. He said that this process is ongoing.


In response to a question from journalists about the return of irregular workers to the country, the High Commissioner said that the Maloshian High Commission said that irregular expatriates can return to the country only by paying a fine. Regular communication with the authorities is ongoing. The labor wing of the High Commission is regularly inquiring about the expatriates in jail.
