According to the group, they fired a missile at a ship of 'MSC United' bound for Pakistan from Saudi Arabia. Houthi members sent three warnings after detecting the boat.

However, without any response from the crew, the attack was carried out. According to the company that owns the ship, they were traveling through the sea border of Yemen's Hodeidah port 111 km away. It was also reported that no crew were injured in the attack. After this incident, the US-led patrol coalition was informed by the crew of the ship. Several shipping companies have stopped plying through this route due to recent attacks in the Red Sea.
